Über die Veranstaltung
Born in 1984 in Saitama, Japan, Yuzo Iwata started practicing karate at the age of 4 at his family dojo "Iwatajuku", which has been passed down from his grandfather, Manzo Iwata (former president of Shitō-kai).
He trained under his father, Genzou Iwata (current president of Shitō-kai), and earned his
black belt at the age of 12.
At 14, he joined the Shitō-kai Junior National Team and won the Kumite championship at the Pan American Games. He continued competing, achieving first place in the Pan American Games, second place in the Asian Championships, and third place in the World Championships.
From 2011, he worked as an instructor at Yuya’s Karate School in Sapporo, teaching approximately 70 students of all ages. Afterward, he moved to
Berlin.
